Duties: Served as the primary economic advisor on the Civil Affairs Planning Team for Multi-National Division-Baghdad G9 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and as the S2 for the 425 Civil Affairs Battalion. Performed as Battle Captain for the Provincial Reconstruction Team during the Baghdad Provincial Elections and the Provincial Special Needs Elections, and coordinated the movement of six Provincial Reconstruction Teams and 70 foreign Ambassadors. Served as a Pay Agent and Project and Purchasing Officer throughout Baghdad for Projects, Civil Service Departments, VoTechs, and various other pay activities. Regularly briefed and provided assessments for senior military leaders, advisors, and the State Department. Coordinated efforts for six Brigade Combat Teams to establish public works organizations in and around Baghdad. Managed and provided oversight for 47 Civil Service Departments and facilitated the establishment of 27 additional Civil Service and Public Works organizations costing 40 million dollars and employing over 6,700 Iraqis.
