Position: SIT / Principle Engineer

Drive in-depth debug and troubleshooting activities to closure related to storage adapters and servers that leverage Fibre Channel, FCoE, iSCSI, and TCP/IP networking protocols. I was hired on as a Sr Engineer, after which was promoted to Staff, Principle, currently the preboot PQA Manager for our high speed Ethernet products.

• Provide trace data and analysis of Ethernet and fibre channel issues found in boot code, SIT, PQA and systems engineering.

• Create and execute test plans and test cases to fully evaluate our HBA/CNA/Ethernet products to provide defect identification and tracking.

• Test and release FC, FCoE, iSCSI and PXE BIOS, uEFI and boot code per OEM and QLogic specifications.

• Redesigned Lab infrastructure with high speed network devices including 10/20/25/40/50/100GB network with heterogeneous switches and routers with several OEM management stations to provide consistent monitoring and high reliability operation

• Conduct extensive regression testing for hardware including adapters and components

• Verify the integration of all system building blocks, firmware components, drivers and boot code

Started the QA department of Broadcom Gigabit networking products; My responsibilities started at qualifying our 1st generation gigabit Ethernet NIC, The BCM570x which has since grown to about 20+ gigabit NIC products from single port to dual and quad port, LOM, Mini-PCI, PCI-X, and PCI-E. I have also been instrumental in qualifying various other products such as, our Bluetooth, NAS, NASoC, SATA RAID Controllers. I have tested and overseen testing of our UNIX, MS Windows 9x, NT,2K,XP plus DOS,DIAG,EFI,PXE,ASF,IPMI drivers and Utilities. I have worked very closely with all our Tier one customers HP/CPQ, DELL, IBM and OEM vendors MSI, ASUS etc. to ensure successful product launches.

I was brought in as a Sr. System Engineer to do testing on a new line of Cisco networking product called 6400 NRP/SSG service selection gateway. My duties include testing the unit with Cisco IOS for all its functions.
