● President of BSU Club (2024 - 2025)
Responsible for coordinating meetings and guiding members toward shared goals. One of my key responsibilities was planning the school’s Black History Month assembly—a significant event that required careful coordination and logistical planning. I was in charge of organizing guest speakers, student performances, and visual presentations, ensuring the program was both educational and engaging for the entire student body. This involved communicating with school staff, securing necessary approvals, managing timelines, and leading your team through the planning process.
In addition to overseeing the event, I documented the entire process and final presentation by creating a short film for the showcase. This required filming behind-the-scenes preparations, conducting interviews, and editing footage into a cohesive narrative. The documentary not only captured the essence of the event but also served as a lasting educational resource that highlighted the importance of Black History Month and the hard work that went into honoring it meaningfully.
