Automatic Pills Box System:

The Smart Medicine Box is a special device that help people take their medicines correctly. It uses NodeMCU technology to manage medication schedules. This device makes sure that people don’t forget their doses or take the wrong medicine, which is a common problem, especially for elderly people and those with long-term health conditions. Utilizing real-time monitoring and notification systems, the device ensures users are reminded to take their medications on time. The system includes a user-friendly interface for setting medication schedules, tracking intake history, and receiving alerts for missed doses. The Smart Medicine Box utilizes several key hardware components: the ESP8266 NodeMCU microcontroller provides Wi-Fi connectivity and processing power, servo motors control the dispensing mechanism, while buzzers and LEDs deliver alerts. Jumper wires, and a battery supplies power to the entire system.System Architecture – Input: Users or caregivers input medication details, dosage information, and timing schedules through a mobile application interface, which communicates with the NodeMCU via Wi-Fi. Processing: The NodeMCU microcontroller processes this information, maintains the schedule, and triggers appropriate actions based on the programmed timing and user interactions. Output: At scheduled times, the system activates servo motors to dispense medication, triggers LED and buzzer alerts, and sends notifications to the mobile app for tracking and monitoring.

Working Principle: When turned on, the NodeMCU initializes all hardware components and establishes a connection to the local Wi-Fi network using pre-configured credentials. Once connected, the system obtains an IP address which is displayed on the LCD screen, providing users with the access point for the web interface. The system queries an NTP server to fetch accurate time data, ensuring precise medication scheduling. This synchronized time is updated hourly to maintain accuracy.
