Multidimensional Cost and Profitability Analytics– Solution Architect: led the tool selection process, designed functional architecture, and implemented solution for a top broker/dealer institution. The client selected Oracle’s Profitability and Cost Management Cloud Solution (PCMCS) as their cost analysis platform, supporting cost development and multidimensional profitability across the organization. Led the team that built the transactional cost solution supplying transaction cost data to the profitability engine to enable customer, product, and organizational profitability.
Implemented an Oracle cost solution for an international package delivery company to calculate the end-to-end cost of package delivery. Implemented the Oracle EPCM solution to analyze the processing, transportation, and delivery cost of packages. This enabled the organization to understand the cost of delivery and leverage this data for pricing.
IT Cost and Profitability Analytics – led the development of a protype IT ABC model for a major metropolitan transit system to initiate an enterprise-wide cost and chargeback program. Also, managed CIO/CFO led initiative for a major bank to define the impact of cloud finance transformation and the effect on cost transfer across the organization. Managed the development and implementation of IT cost analytics and chargeback programs to understand the impact of IT cost on their customer acquisition and servicing through automated payments and delivery channels. Developed a model that aligned IT spend to process/platform and application, translated that to a business driver-based transaction to support profitability reporting.
Analytics and Forecasting – led the implementation of a costing and chargeback project to support a branch rationalization effort for large commercial bank. Captured source data from teller and sales systems to develop transactional costs for all operational activities for multidimensional reporting. Unit costs from the financial system, and the related operational data were used to build a metric-based forecasting program in EBPCS. This process enabled the creation of a rolling forecast using business volumes and supported drill back contribution analysis to see the impact of organizational spend on financial results.
Oracle ERP/EPM Cloud Finance Transformation – Lead for cost and profitability analytics track for a cloud finance transformation. Led the integration of data from the Oracle Cloud GL, AP, and source operational systems to PCMCS and the delivery of financial analytic output to OFSAA, OAC and BI for the creation of multidimensional profitability reporting. Standard rates calculated in PCMCS delivered to OFSAA PFT with operational volumes with dimensional data elements to create profitability reporting at the customer, product, and segment level. Worked with GL team to update the current chart of accounts to support required financial reporting and analytics and design of the AP data capture.
Financial Regulatory Reporting – Led the development team that built a cost model to support the Resolution Plan submission supporting legal entity and critical service cost development for a top 10 US bank. The model identified the cost of critical services across the operational and technology organization and their impact on the business units across the entire organization. Successfully completed the model build and reporting under an extremely aggressive timeframe to deliver the resolution plan to the federal regulators by the deadline.
