I, Yaseen Ahmed Ali, born on August 8, 2006, residing in Al-Amiriya district, Baghdad, Iraq,

hereby submit this formal statement seeking international protection and asylum due to my exposure to a severe sexual assault and repeated threats to my life by an individual affiliated with the Iraqi Ministry of Interior, who lives near my residence.

On one occasion, this person lured me to his home while wearing civilian clothes. Upon arrival, he offered me a glass of drink, which I consumed and subsequently lost consciousness, as I believe the drink was drugged. Upon regaining consciousness, I felt severe pain in my rectal area. When I questioned him about what had happened, he denied any wrongdoing, claiming that I was "delusional" or "ill."

Later, I received video recordings showing him sexually assaulting me while I was unconscious. I informed my father of the incident, and we reported the matter to the police station, where an official complaint was filed. An investigation was opened, and the case was referred to the court. The accused was arrested, and after hearing both my testimony and his, the court sentenced him to only two years imprisonment.

Upon his release, I was subjected to further threats; he threatened me with a pistol, forcibly took my personal phone, and then fled the scene. These ongoing assaults have placed my life in constant danger, and I no longer feel safe in my neighborhood or country.

I possess all official evidence related to the case, including documented testimonies from myself and the accused at the police and court, as well as surveillance camera footage.

As a result of this traumatic experience, I have suffered a profound psychological and physical breakdown, leading to continuous panic and anxiety. I was compelled to hide and take refuge in my mother’s home to preserve my personal safety. I developed severe psychological disorders caused by the repeated threats and defamation of my reputation in a conservative society that strictly adheres to Islamic values and social traditions, which intensified my feelings of isolation and helplessness.

My mental condition has deteriorated to a critical state, leading me to contemplate ending my own life, reflecting the immense psychological pressure and hardships I endure. Therefore, I urgently appeal to the competent authorities to grant me international protection and humanitarian asylum, as continuing to live in my country exposes my mental and physical wellbeing to grave and imminent danger that I cannot withstand.

I respectfully request the concerned authorities to provide me with the protection I need and to guarantee my fundamental rights, as I cannot return to my homeland where my life is threatened.
