Successfully tested the Learning Management System replacement for the Coast Guard, released in 2024. Ensured the system was free from major and minor bugs. Edited the documents the technical writer produced for the Coast Guard as system reference materials. Ensured accuracy of format, proper spelling, punctuation and semantic use. Created test cases and test data for routine testing and UAT testing. Worked closely with developers to create a smooth user experience. Went onsite to facilitate and support UAT with customers. Proactively tested usability on the new Competency Management Tool application throughout the development process. Reported bugs during development and testing phase to ensure all features function per requirements. This system replaces decades of hauling around heavy binders of paper forms to an electronic application that effectively tracks the progress of Amateur Marine Inspectors.
