FINAL YEAR PROJECT ON EXCAVATABILITY ASSESSMENT ON NIZAMPUR AREA June 2024 – Dec 2024 Leadership in Fieldwork: Led and coordinated fieldwork expeditions, collecting and analyzing data on joint patterns and fractures within various geological formations. Thesis and Research: My thesis focuses on the excavatability assessment of rock masses, where structural geology plays a crucial role in determining excavation feasibility. By analyzing joint patterns, fault zones, and rock fabric, I highlight how structural discontinuities directly impact mechanical behavior and excavation strategies. Neglecting structural controls can lead to cost overruns, safety hazards, and engineering failures. This research underscores the necessity of structural analysis in geotechnical planning, aligning with your expertise in deformation and fluid-rock interactions.

GEOLOGICAL FIELDWORKS Sept 2020-june 2024
Over the course of my four-year career as a geologist, I have conducted extensive fieldwork across various regions of the Himalayan mountain range, focusing on diverse geological aspects such as structural geology, tectonics, sedimentology, and stratigraphy. I have also reviewed and analyzed the works and publications of prominent geologists, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the region’s geological history and stratigraphic framework, particularly from the Main Karakoram Thrust (MKT) to the Main Boundary Thrust (MBT).
Software Experience

I've had extensive experience using Google Earth Pro in my geological work, and I’m very comfortable with its features. The software's tools, like high-resolution satellite imagery, and topographic maps, have been incredibly helpful for analyzing geological features in the field. By using Google Earth Pro, I’ve been able to map out areas, identify structural trends, and conduct spatial analysis with ease. During my geophysics class, I had the opportunity to work with Kingdom Software, where I developed a solid understanding of its capabilities for seismic interpretation and data analysis. I used the software to process geophysical data, create subsurface models, and interpret geological structures. This hands-on experience has given me valuable skills in analyzing and visualizing geophysical data, and it has strengthened my ability to apply these tools effectively in real-world geological exploration. I'm now confident in using Kingdom Software for subsurface analysis and feel well-prepared to incorporate it into future projects.
