CAREER FOCUS: I have over twenty years’ experience in business management and sales. I started part-time at Sears, Roebuck and co. in shipping and receiving while in college. I literally fell in love with Sears and worked my way up to shipping manager, department manager, regional assistant, and marketing manager at the national headquarters level. This was accomplished through work performance and achievement of company goals, as well as batteries of exams and interviews. I have managed a diverse group of people as to age, gender, ethnicity, and education. I am a firm believer that I moved up through the ranks because of the relationship I had with my fellow co-workers. I was also responsible for the control of millions of dollars in inventory as well as the marketing plans for over 800 stores (mainly in the hardware and home improvement categories).
With my diverse educational background and years of teaching, I am effective at interacting with individuals, helping them achieve their education and career goals. My focus was on anatomy and physiology, pathology, and many health sciences classes.
