Career Summary: Within the guidelines of my employer, my life is to reduce fossil fuel energy waste and CO2 emissions. I have over 30 years of energy engineering and economic analysis experience with 15 years with PacifiCorp (Pacific Power) in Oregon. Represented Daimler with a group of buyers to purchase wholesale power. Recommended that Daimler Plant in Mexico buy wholesale solar power for cost savings of a million per year.
Key Accomplishments:
Worked with T&D planning evaluating how energy efficiency could delay system upgrades.
Developed off-balance sheet, utility on-bill financing for energy upgrades to new commercial buildings and evaluated rate schedules for commercial and industrial customers.
Completed multiple industrial energy audits and installed metering to verify savings.
Wrote guideline for thermal batteries and calculations to size iron-based flow batteries
Presented to National Renewable Energy Lab my pre/post evaluation of 60 kVA solar PV system
Obtained $2 million from Bonneville Power Administration for new efficient buildings program.
Sold on-site generator control equipment and won an innovation award for a refrigeration-based demand response technology
Ran remote metering system for Time-of-Day utility customers
