5G RAN Testing
Project: 5G NSA RU Lab testing (Richardson, TX)
Key Contributions:
Validate testcases for different RAN features at many RAN layers(L1/L2/L3) which is physical layer, MAC, RLC, PDCP and RRC layers by following 3GPP and RAN standard specification.
Execute software upgrades, call processing, testing features and troubleshooting with RAN products.
Deploying and integrating containerized 4G/5G RAN microservice based products including CUCP, CUUP and DU on Linux/RedHat. Configured CU and DU on ipv4 and ipv6.
Ensure end-to-end connectivity for the RAN solution with packet core. This includes synchronization (PTP) and other Open RAN interfaces (Control, User and Management Plane).
Deployed Mavenir O-DU performance with different 4G and 5G RU vendors like MTI, Fujitsu, Zylink, KMW, NLA, IHGA, PUMA etc.
Troubleshooting network issues. Created JIRA ticket according for failed test cases to track the issue. Created tickets according severity of failures and follow up until issue doesn’t resolve.
