Hello,

My name is Diane S Smith. I am a Certified Professional Coder searching for remote employment. I have recently relocated to Mechanicsville VA due to changes in life during the last year. I enjoy coding radiology reports and assisting in any way possible with medical coding opportunities.

I was employed from 2007 through November 2018 for PC Inc located in Anchorage, AK. I became a remote coder for PC Inc when I relocated to Lampasas, TX in March 2013. PC Inc closed in 2018, and I became employed by University Radiology Tennessee...Knoxville by former office manager, Laurie Brock in December 2018. The new office manager, Rachel Matthews terminated my employment for UR on March 11, 2024, after I moved from Texas to Alaska.

My relocation in 2013 was due to assisting my husband’s mother who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. September 2017, my husband was diagnosed with colon cancer and went through several years of treatment, however, he passed in August 2023. I am residing back in Anchorage, AK.

I will be moving from Anchorage, AK to Mechanicsville, VA at the end of July 2024.

I am looking for a remote coding position and I am certified through AAPC. My certification has been in effect since December 2000.
