As Management Assistant I prepared secretarial training materials for the
Communication department, as I traveled to Baltimore for the secretarial CPE
• Prepare payroll on employees and enter into computer system
• Train employees on how to enter payroll under new system
• Design log for payroll
• Review employees’ input of timekeeping
• Sent emails to employees and managers on changes of the timekeeping system and
administrative issues
• Prepare forms for employees to take training, when needed
• Negotiate with vendors on price for classes
• Monitored training classes for completion on Analysts
• Ordered supplies for all employees of the Communication branch
• Entered invoice information into IRS Procurement system
• Paid vendors with credit card for training sessions and for supplies
• Reconciled bills for supplies and filed invoices/records
• Entered credits into the system on supplies, when needed
• Proofread narratives on employee evaluations
• Entered evaluations into the HR (Human Resource) system with ratings, narratives,
etc.
• Reviewed travel on employees and manager
• Made sure employees were in compliance with travel and timekeeping based on
IRS rules and regulations

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
• Teach children in church/Sunday school/children’s church, and Vacation Bible
School over 30 years.
• Mentored middle and high school students in reading and math for four years
in Pearl Cohn High School, Antioch High, and one of the charter schools in
Memphis, TN
• Worked with the children at the School for the Blind as a timer in their outside
activities here in Nashville, TN
• Mentored children at the Reconciliation House, located on Charlotte, in Nashville
for children whose parent's were incarcerated
• Writes skits and plays for children
• Received a letter from Mayor Bredesen for working with children at the
Reconciliation House after receiving a write-up in the newspaper from the director
of the Reconciliation House
