Summary

I have been a Registered Nurse since **** working several areas. I was first subjected too Nursing Home work was when I was 17 and the Nursing home was deplorably understaffstaffed, myself and one RN. She taught me how to fend for those people and assure they had no bedsores they had no bed sores. I went to Nursing school at Marion General Hospital 1984 and it was most difficult. I was married with 3 children, children, now working full time in the nursery at night . I graduated passed my boards the first time and was hired on the medical floor at Hardin Memorial. Within One year I was made charge nurse of that floor. Two years later I again was approached to do nighttime supervisor. One year later I was asked to meet with a Oncologist and his nurse from Riverside about starting a cancer clinic. They handed me two broad binders and said memorize y the time I get back. Thus was the beginning of my Oncology profession which has lasted until the onset of covid.
