Brief Bio

I was raised in the panhandle area of Florida, Panama City to be exact. I went thru school and collage in Bay county while I was full filling my military obligation in the reserves during that time. I left collage to go into Retail management and worked in the retail section for about twelve years, ten of which were in store management.

After an offer to go into construction field I did not look back. I started as Construction Superintendent with Rutenburg/Us Home corp. During that time I took additional schooling, qualified and passed the state boards for a construction certification. I left Rutenburg and served as Purchasing and Budgeting Manager for several different companies, also served as Project Manager for companies as needed. After getting this experience I went out on my own as Carl B Watts Construction Co. specialist in Design, Construction and Development, primarily in single family homes for the past 40 years. During my time I have built projects in over six counties in Florida and one in North Carolina, added a swimming pool division, won several awards for homes and design. Giving back to the industry I have served as head of the Remodeling Council, Parade of Homes Chairman, Vice President and President of the local building association and had the pleasure to serve as a National Director representing my local association at the National Association and also served on the National Research Division concerning new products. I am approved by both FHA and VA .

Along with the construction license I obtained a Real estate license which I held for over ten years.

Product experience:

Concrete—poured in place, piling, basements, footers, slabs, mono slabs, driveway and walkways, elevator shafts, boat ramps.

Walls—concrete, brick, steel, wood, stucco

Roofs—tar and gravel, torch down, rolled roofing, shingles, metal, tile Framing—t-frame, steel, wood

Plumbing—copper, cast iron, polybutylene, pex, pvc, manifold. AC and Heating— solar, baseboard, split system, high pressure, radiate, air to air and water to air systems

Electric—certified smart house contractor, RG6, CAT 5, solar Siding—wood, brick, vinyl, aluminum, stucco

Lawnscaping—design, sprinkler and well design, and worked with architects In over Forty years I had the lowest overhead of any of my competitors by using out-sourced labor and sub contractors.

I Have kept up both my continuing education requirements and my license thru August 31,2026
