To: Human Resources Department Manager
RE: Employment Opportunity
Dear Human Resources Manager,
Please accept the attached resume as my application for a position with your organization.
I have recently graduated from Sault College’s School of Environmental and Natural Resource Sciences, in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, in the Natural Resource / Environmental Law – Inspection and Enforcement program. This program was designed to attract students who have a passion for the natural environment, providing a comprehensive understanding of law enforcement and natural resource crime scene inspection principles. The program provided practical knowledge of many elements of natural resources and environmental law, while providing us an opportunity to interact and interview a number of skilled law enforcement personnel in the Sault Ste. Marie region of Ontario.
Prior to my time at Sault College, I graduated, in April 2024, from Fleming College’s School of Environmental and Natural Resource Sciences, in Lindsay, Ontario, from their Ecosystem Management Technician program. This program enhanced my appreciation of the fragile nature of our ecosystems and my desire to help preserve and protect as much of the existing ecosystems as possible, while balancing the needs of society advancing construction development and infrastructure enhancements into a variety of ecosystems. The program at Fleming College provided a comprehensive understanding of ecosystems, including the observation, data collection and analysis of organisms within a specific community. It provided practical knowledge of many elements of an ecosystem, with the field camp providing us an opportunity to apply our knowledge of field guides, mapping, site investigations and analysis. In addition, the program introduced us to the application of some industry specific tools, including “ArcGIS Pro” software, for documenting and correlating research information into reports and maps.
I enrolled in these 2 programs, to provide myself with an opportunity to work in a career which aligns with my passion for nature and to work to assist our natural ecosystems to survive and flourish.
