Real-Time Demand-Supply Balancing for Power Trading

Business Problem: In power trading, price volatility and demand-supply imbalances introduce significant financial risks for market participants. The key challenge was to integrate data from various sources, manage market uncertainties, and build a system capable of optimizing trading decisions in real-time.
Business Solution: We collected and consolidated data from different research paper source. After thorough data preprocessing using Python and SQL, we performed exploratory data analysis (EDA) and built forecasting models using XGBoost, Random Forest, and Autoregressive techniques. The final solution was deployed as an interactive Streamlit web application that forecasts electricity prices one month ahead, enabling informed and strategic trading decisions.
Switchgear Cabinet Part Identification (10/2024 - 11/2024) Business Problem: The manual identification and labeling of switchgear components was time-consuming, prone to human error, and led to inefficiencies in electrical equipment management and operations. Business Solution: We utilized computer vision techniques to automate the identification of switchgear cabinet parts. Data was annotated and augmented using Roboflow, and a YOLO-based object detection model was trained using PyTorch and OpenCV. The final solution was deployed as a user-friendly Streamlit web application that allowed real-time part detection and labeling. EDUCATION
