As the 90 ton Link-belt crane operator, I would get my work orders before or day of the job. I would safely do my pre-trip on crane for road ready. Making sure that the rigger and I would have all proper equipment for the job task giving from foreman/pusher. We would some time go out to the job and gather information for a safe lift and get a lift plan together and with that determined what is needed. Such as more counters weights, steel pads and/or poly pads, is it on asphalt or dirt, mud, is there need for extra matting to keep crane safely level. I will sometimes talk to the customer and let them know what will be going on and if there is any underground or overhead obstacles. Making sure that we are also safely clear of power-lines, I also run boom trucks carry decks and RTs. I recently been running our 165 ton grove on a recent turnaround. With my NCCCO I am able to run large and small cranes stationary or rotating cab and service truck mounted cranes. Being at H&S Crane rental side I have learn a lot more in my crane career with the people I work with. Safe is the number 1 goal before or after each job we handle

Crane Operator/Mechanic helper

Hale boy’s Crane and heavy haul Corpus Christi Tx November 2020 to September 2021

Working at Hale boys, I was assigned to a Grove 60 ton mobile crane and a 20 ton boom truck. Every morning with or without a job I performed daily safety inspections on both units to be ready to go on jobs. I would go out to locations with senior operator to check jobs out before or ahead of time to properly get a lift plan together for a safe life. Gather proper rigging such as slings, nylons, endless, wire ropes, spreader bars if needed and shackles. When there was down time I would assist the mechanic around the shop, repair or replacing parts on haul trucks to cranes, we also did most of our own tire repairs. Working at hale boys wasn’t just a crane job but a job where you had to be handy with everything due and learn more then just being an operator due to it being a small company.
