CBR Technician

PRISM MARITIME-San Diego, CA

October 2020 to December 2024

I was a CBR TECHNICIAN working as a sub-contractor for the Navy and Coast Guard troubleshooting and repairing shipboard Chemical and Biological detectors which includes Improved Point Detector System-Lifecycle Replacement (IPDS/LR) and Joint Biological Point Detection System (JBPDS). In addition, I coordinated and executed Readiness Assist Visits (RAV) to ensure ships are 100% CBR ready, which includes Planning,

Briefing, Executing and Debriefing the CO and XO. Furthermore, I'm responsible for scheduling and coordinating and executing shipboard CBR drills for all Coast Guard cutters. Damage Control Assistant (DCA)

USS TULSA (LCS-16)-San Diego, CA

June 2016 to October 2020

Since taking over as the Damage Control Assistant onboard the USS TULSA, I demonstrated strong work ethics and determination to getting the job done the right way without rework which includes the following:

• 1500 Gas Free certificates generated

• 1200 Hot Work certificates generated

• Conducted over 2000 fire watch operations

While serving onboard the USS RUSSELL (DDG-59) as the Damage Control Chief, I was personally responsible for the following:

• 16 Damage Control Petty Officers (DCPO)- I spearheaded the DCPO program, ensuring all their PMS was completed and conducted spot checks to ensure the PMS was done correctly without discrepancies. The following DC equipment was maintained and maintenance:

• Quick Acting Watertight Doors (QAWD)- I conduct oversight to ensure the DCPOs were maintaining the doors onboard in accordance with (IAW) the proper technical manuals (TM).

• Portable Fire Extinguishers- I conduct oversight on all the portable extinguishers, ensuring they were weighed and inspected IAW the proper PMS card.

• Assessments- During our Damage Control Material Assessment (DCMA), the DCPO program received an overall score of 93%, which was the highest the USS RUSSELL ever received in 8 years.

• Ventilation- DCPO's conducted overhaul of six (6) Fan Coil Assemblies and ten (10) Fan Coil Units with Satisfactory results on all the units.

Emergency Management Specialist

Navy Emergency Management-Rota, Spain

October 2010 to January 2013

While serving as an Emergency Management Specialist for Naval Station Rota, Spain I spearheaded and coordinated the following:

• Coordinated and scheduled over 38 departments with Shelter-in-Place readiness.

• Implemented an Emergency Management Policy that hasn't been reviewed and approved for many years prior to my onboarding.

• Conducted over 150 training session to all 38 departments on the importance of Shelter-in-Place and the operations of what to do in the event of an incident.
