Leadership and Internships:
•Personal Accomplishment: Researched, manufactured and developed standard operating procedure for the administration of the vaccine to combat Enteric Red Mouth disease for the Georgia Natural Resources Buford Trout Hatchery.
•University of West Florida: Aquaculture/husbandry/quality control for large saltwater pools. One pool housed Atlantic Stingrays, and the other juvenile Red Snapper caught offshore. Swimbladders were deflated as needed offshore. I also worked in the wet lab doing hundreds of necropsies on Red Snapper, including otolith removals.
•Buford Trout Fish Hatchery: Wet lab: Gill microscopy and visual observation from cuttings for parasites and health checks, skin scrapes viewed under microscopy for Ick and other parasites and visual review of fish, including throat, stomach and mouth for Enteric Redmouth Disease. Each fish was also tested for Yersinia ruckeri using bacteriological isolation.
