SKILLS & ABILITIES Information Architect, Data & AI division, Visa Information Security Architect, Cybersecurity, Visa, Foster City, CA As a security architect for the Data & AI division, I addressed security issues related Visa’s private cloud of transactions – the largest financial, private cloud in he world comprised of multiple Hadoop clusters.

• I helped to architect the identity and access management of this private cloud using multiple Active Directory domains.

• I help ensure compliance to Visa’s internal security and privacy standards as well as industry standards such as: Payment card industry security standards [PCI-DSS] and those of the Center for Internet security. I participate in audit reviews by internal and external auditors: FFIEC, SOX, PCI Data Security standards.

• I architected the provisioning system and central LDAP Directory for identity and access control of corporate users and applications deployed on 70,000 Unix servers and Kubernetes images. This resulted in multiple patent applications.

• Wrote the technical security standards for corporate user access to all systems and data by corporate staff as well as other technologies: SSH, credential policy.

• Co-authored the technical security standards for Hadoop and Hadoop services: yarn, Hive, etc..

• Conducted security architecture reviews of applications and services to be deployed into production.

Developer Experience:

• Developed .Net applications in Visual basic to query and report on contents of identity repositories: Active Directory, LDAP directories and IBM’s RACF.

• Developed a diagnostic tool in .Net to scan ports and assess certificates deployed to implement TLS for mutual authentication and server authentication.

• Wrote python scripts to search LDAP directories, Active Directory and to test SSL/TLS connections.

Training Experience:

MENLO PARK, CA Global sales support for Solaris on Intel and other software products. Member of a team responsible for competitive analysis of Sun’s software products vis-a-vis Microsoft. Resulted in two issued patents (see below). Awarded 2005 Chairman’s award, 2005 for technical support to the EU trade commission in their antitrust case against Microsoft. This resulted in a 2 billion $ settlement from Microsoft to Sun Microsystems.
