Barron Development Corporation, Fort Lauderdale, FL July 2023 – Current IN HOUSE COUNSEL CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER

• Draft, review and negotiate a range of miscellaneous industry-speci ic and general agreements between different parties involved in a project. Provide legal advice to General Contractor based on Subcontractors’ noncompliance with the Subcontractor Agreement and advise General Contractor during the construction process to avoid unnecessary and costly disputes where possible. Create and organize project documentation, including all subcontractor agreements, change orders, reports, RFIs, and miscellaneous agreements.

• Work in conjunction with the Construction Manager, Superintendents, and Lead Foremen to coordinate the details of luxury, ground-up residential construction projects. Coordinate with Architects, Engineers, Designers, Clients, Suppliers, and Subcontractors to ensure luid communication between all parties for up to ten projects.

• Monitor all project progress, coordinate project activities to ensure timely completion, and provide regular updates to stakeholders. Maintain the bid list, track all proposals, and negotiate with Subcontractors and Vendors. Assist Construction Manager in developing the budgets, project schedules, and milestones. Review project blueprints, interpret construction plans and building codes, and resolve discrepancies in shop drawings.

• Collaborated with the Construction Manager to create and coordinate the weekly schedules. Ensured Subcontractor records were kept up-to-date and maintained as required. • Conducted legal research for multiple Partners and Associates within the Commercial Litigation department, managed case load, and drafted several legal documents and agreements. Assisted in complex litigation matters in the realm of construction and construction defect litigation.

• Managed a large-scale legal operation project for one the world’s largest franchises, consisting of representing and assisting the Client in general counsel duties while working closely with the Lead Attorney and the Client’s Key Players to gain franchisee compliance with the franchise agreement or position the agreement for termination. Within an 8-month period, prepared, issued and tracked over 500 breach notices addressing franchisees’ noncompliance with the franchise agreement, including violations ranging from store standards to high complex fraud.
