DaVita Laboratory Services, Inc. (Programmer / Systems Administrator)
Write Windows-based system services using C#, SQL, and SOAP that communicate with both internal and external clients to import/export/synchronize patient data.
Write inward facing web-based solutions for corporate projects. These include:
oThe Laptop Spa – A website designed to automatically apply necessary patches, upgrades, and software installs on laptops used by remote employees. The site also tracked hardware fixes/upgrades as well as interfacing will Dell’s corporate website to track warranty information. Using LANDesk as the software installation tool, I wrote several stored procedures that LANDesk incorporated into the next version of their product.
oOperation Uno – Used to track scheduled upgrades on clinics throughout the US. The site has the ability to systematically shut down all the computers in a clinic in proper order so that electrical crews would not crash the local servers when they cut power to the building.
oLab Intranet – Used by the field operations team to track & maintain clinics throughout the US and aid in maintaining clinics during emergencies.
Write scripts for various IT departments throughout the company (VBScript) to perform everything from file verification to printer-server migration.
Maintaining DaVita’s OpenVMS systems that control the corporate laboratories. Tasks include daily backups, user account management, disk array configuration, system upgrades, and software installation under FDA regulations. Maintaining lab instrumentation communication, networking equipment, and all computer-based lab hardware. Creating various batch scripts that monitor all aspects of the lab systems.
