PERSONAL STATEMENT

I am a highly motivated researcher with a strong passion for exploring the intricacies of cell signaling. My background in cancer biology, coupled with specialized training in cell and molecular biology, has equipped me with the skills and expertise necessary for impactful research. As a doctoral fellow at NCCS, Pune, India, I played a key role in several projects, including the transcriptional regulation of the osteopontin gene in a cervical cancer model, utilizing molecular biology tools. Additionally, I contributed to a cancer drug discovery program focused on developing target-specific synthetic drugs for cervical cancer.

RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

2014 Postdoctoral fellow at National Institute of Health, Bethesda, MD

2013 Senior resident at Vardhman Mahavir Medical College, New Delhi, India

2011-2012 Postdoctoral fellow at University of California, Riverside, USA

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Cell Culture, Cell viability, proliferation, migration, co-migration, invasion and clonogenicity assay, ELISA, immunoprecipitation, western blot,, zymography, electrophoresis mobility shift assay (EMSA), primer designing, RT-PCR, cloning and protein expression, site directed mutagenesis, protein purification, plasmid isolation, siRNA design and transfection, confocal microscopy, flow-cytometry, tumor stromal and tumor endothelial interaction assays, in-vitro angiogenesis assay, invasion assay, animal handling, tumor kinetics and metastasis study using In Vivo Imaging System (IVIS), histopathology of tumor samples and human clinical sample analysis.

RESEARCH INTEREST

I’d like to pursue my career as a researcher in the field of fundamental cellular & molecular signaling and transcriptional gene regulation.
