Senior Manager IT Eng Apps – Data & Analytics SAS Platform

SAS Product Manager for Kaiser Permanente. Led the management of all SAS platforms also managed several successful projects to migrate analytic users from older outdated hardware platforms to newer platforms.

Worked with Data Science teams on production and application support for their programs.

Managed over 2000 SAS users and analysts moving from older AIX servers to virtual Linux servers running a SAS 9.2 Grid application. Over time, the team updated the SAS version to 9.3.

Led projects to move the platform to another new SAS system on physical servers running SAS Grid 9.4 and migrating over 3000 users in less than 6 months.

Consolidated four separate SAS systems into one platform, saving the company over $300,000 / year in licensing and operations cost.

Lead SAS Administrator. Administered several instances of SAS environments.

Installed and configured SAS Grid Platforms and SAS Visual Analytics, leading to enhanced forecasting of critical banking risk operations.
