Profile
I am a male South Sudanese, aged 25, with interest in community service, self-driven, and based on solid foundation of education, leadership, and service. I completed secondary school in 2019 at St. Joseph's Boys High School, Kitale, where I came to appreciate learning and an urge to empower others to access the same chance. During my high school stay, I participated actively in school activities, including work on the school farm during harvest time, where we collectively harvested maize. This actual hands-on exposure enhanced my sense of team, responsibility, and acquaintance with farming procedures.
Following graduation, I returned to my home village of Paliau, South Sudan, and taught at Pagook Primary School. This experience also strengthened my determination to pursue grassroots education and amplified my desire to contribute substantively to the growth of my community. Aside from the classroom, I also worked with a water supply company in Juba, helping to facilitate warehouse management and logistics operations. This role improved my skills in organization and reinforced the importance of efficiency, coordination, and dependability in the provision of services. I am now a Sunday school teacher at Amazing Grace Church in Kenya, where I guide children and provide moral and spiritual direction. I am keen on developing young people, promoting personal growth, and using my life experiences to positively influence others. My journey continues to be guided by a passion for service, learning, and inspiring others. Work Experience
Pagook Primary School
Teacher January, 2020 to August, 2020
- I possess a unique blend of education, logistical, and community leadership experience rooted in service and adaptability. I worked as a primary school teacher at Pagook Primary School in my home village of Paliau, South Sudan, where I was responsible for planning and teaching lessons, cultivating early learners, and interacting with parents to ensure holistic education. The job involved creativity, patience, and strong dedication to uplifting my community through education. My assignment also included school improvement activities, whereby I worked together with other teachers to enhance classroom life despite limited facilities.
- In addition to teaching experience, I undertook practical training in logistics in the form of a warehouse facility of a water supply organization in Juba. I helped maintain inventories, loaded, and stored correctly. My assignment enhanced organizational and teamwork skills. I believe these skills can be transferable to managing agricultural inventory and assisting in farm operations. Lilan & Koech Associates, LLP – Nairobi, Kenya
