Synopsis

A vast experience in teaching and research in Life-Sciences, Pharmaceuticals & Biotechnology, Drug Discovery, Clinical Trials in the Universities and industries both in India and abroad.

Extensive experience in working with prime therapeutic segments: Diabetes, Obesity, Cancer (breast and ovarian), Inflammation including Neuroinflammation, Neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease both at pre-clinical and clinical levels.

Vast technical knowledge in cell signaling, omics-based studies, single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP), cloning and sequencing, transfection, gene expression using PCR, Real-Time PCR, DNA microarray, PCR array, Western Blotting, and MALDI- TOF Mass Spectrometry, etc.

Detailed investigations on the influence of gut microbial-host interaction on the onset and progression of diseases and response to the drugs, personalized medicine. These studies were conducted using real-time PCR, DNA microarray, PCR array, PCR-denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis fingerprinting, pyrosequencing, etc., as well as different bioinformatics tools for functional annotation and analyses of correlation, principal coordinate, and clustering.

Extensive experience in working with radioisotope-based techniques like radioreceptor assay, radioimmunoassay & radioligand binding assay.

Adequate exposure to fluorescence techniques, confocal laser microscopy, and fluorescence- based assays, histology, and immunohistochemistry.

In-depth knowledge in protein isolation, purification, and characterization.

High throughput screening (HTS) and studies of mechanism(s) of action of therapeutic candidates, emphasizing cell signaling using most sophisticated automated systems, robotics, and cell-based and cell-free assay techniques.

In vitro and in vivo preclinical screening and profiling of drug candidates, structure- activity relationship studies, toxicological evaluation, lead identification and optimization, bioequivalence and metabolic studies of the candidate drug molecules. 8
