Duties included customer service to healthcare couriers who dropped off facility homes blood specimens and COVID-19 swab specimens to process and test in a time assessed manner. Training included receiving additional biohazards specimens for Microbiology Dept like urine samples, stool samples, sputum samples, wound samples, and blood samples / blood cultures to be logged electronically into Excel Spreadsheets and stored in Micro Dept refrigerator per biohazards protocol procedures. Maintained cleanliness of 24 hour’s processing lab that continues to be on 24/7 camera surveillance. Logs of COVID 19 Specimen Forms were to be completed and filed at end of business work shift. Logs of blood specimens and blood cultures were to be completed within a 4 hour time assessed window and centrifuged with 10 minutes of data processing before being delivered to Main Lab to complete testing analysis..
