Hello!, I’m a highly-technical T-shaped engineering leader with 17 years of overlapped & specialized areas of experience, being a polyglot full-stack software engineer at my core with a passion for Software Architecture, my career led me to infiltrate DevSecOps, IT Ops, and Information Security out of deep care for Developer Experience (DevEx), engineering Quality and customer Happiness, so I have spent half my career practicing hands-on SRE, DevSecOps, and IT automation from a software-first perspective. The consistent feedback I’ve had the privilege of receiving is that I have a unique blend of technical and people skills, as I have leveraged my technical foundation and passion for business to liaise between engineering, organizations and clients, as well as leading from the front by working on the hardest, most complex and business-critical technical problems I can find, while mentoring and empowering individuals, as I also have a passion for Developer Relations. I’m a technologist at heart, and always jump-in with both feet to learn new languages, technologies, paradigms and solutions in record time —averaging ~5 2 weeks— and to a teaching level.

I don’t take the word leader lightly, while always being an individual technical contributor, I also happen to be an experienced people manager with a strong affinity for servant leadership. I have led teams of up to 15 individuals in a globally distributed setting, focusing on mentoring and helping individuals grow while shaping and guiding the technical direction of projects as an architect, earning the respect of my teams by doing technical work side-by-side with them when needed and prioritizing removing impediments from their path. I take great satisfaction in having built departments from scratch with 100% talent retention during my tenures, and having helped organizations and my leadership through cultural and organizational transformations and business growth. I approach real-world challenges with the urgency and mindset of a “fixer”, always striving to bring clarity and calm to complex situations —think Mr. Wolfe from Pulp Fiction, but for engineering. As a systemic thinker and strategist I find root-causes and create long-term sustainable solutions, while imbuing a shared excitement for technical and process innovation. Continually improving Developer Experience, Developer Relations & Developer Productivity is my default mode of operation, ensuring smooth and progressive enhancements without disrupting teams, with a focus on a culture of both team and customer happiness.

I firmly believe that any problem in the world can be solved through software, and that success comes from ensuring that whatever I do, I make sure everyone is having fun doing their best work. Skillset
