Mar. 2024 Secondary Engineering Design of Substations
-Present Protection and control engineering for substations, including principles diagrams for circuit breakers and line disconnector for GIS, HIS, and AIS, based on the interpretation of schematics and one line diagrams. Developed control and protection diagrams, selection and parameterization of relays.
Designed PIP and HSR communication architectures
with SCADA, following the IEC 61850 standard.
Created functional test protocols for transformers, switchgears, and relays, as well as energization protocols. Mar. 2024 Protection Coordination Studies for Solar & Wind Farms
-June 2024 Led protection coordination studies for substations of 150MW solar and wind farms, ensuring compliance with Colombian regulations and international codes and standards. Provided guidance to the team to meet the project objectives and regulatory requirements. Dec. 2023 Optimization Model for Extreme Wind Return Periods
-Feb. 2024 for Line Transmission designs.
Developed and designed an optimization model for the return period of extreme winds for the sizing of trans- mission lines, coded in Python. This model achieved up to a 35% reduction in initial and future penalties costs. Aug. 2023 Design and Sizing of Active Filter
-Oct. 2023 Led the design and sizing of an active filter for reactive power and harmonic correction, reducing costs by up to 65% associated with reactive power penalties.
