PRINCIPAL ENGINEER

Set up storage area networks using various HP, Dell, IBM, and Lenovo servers, switches, and storage systems, involving complex SAN network configurations detected by OEMs.

Conducted test efforts for Fiber Channel adapters (64G/32G/16G/8G) from industry-leading vendors, including Brocade, Cisco switches, and HPE, Dell, and Lenovo storage systems, ensuring compatibility, performance, and reliability.

Qualified FC Adapters for VMware driver testing, including configuration of vSphere and vCenter Server, and deployed a large number of VMs for the automation team, including Linux, Windows, and Ubuntu VMs.

Utilized VMware virtualization technologies to set up test environments, simulate real-world scenarios, and conduct comprehensive testing, including storage vMotion.

Used Finisar analyzers and jammers for Fiber Channel, iSCSI, and FCoE protocol trace analysis.

Developed and executed test plans and test cases for new features such as USCM (Universal SAN Congestion Mitigation), Cisco Virtual Lane, reset and recover procedures, loopback testing, and Forward Error Correction (FEC) testing. Collaborated closely with development teams to understand feature requirements, provide feedback on design and implementation, and address issues identified during testing.

Utilized USCM technology to mitigate SAN congestion by identifying and addressing oversubscribed or over-utilized servers, ensuring optimal performance and resource allocation across the storage area network.

Executed manual and automated test cases, analyzed test results, and reported defects to development teams using defect tracking tools.

Ran IO Meter, Medusa, and DT IO test tools for testing performance and reliability of Fiber Channel and iSCSI adapters on different software and hardware platforms.

Resolved numerous customer issues, involving configuring systems, reproducing issues, and collaborating with driver and firmware development teams until resolution. Provided technical support to customers experiencing issues with software, hardware, and applications.

Designed and implemented FC automation test cases. Coordinated with onsite and offshore teams.

Conducted functional and performance testing of SSD products, developing and maintaining test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure comprehensive coverage of product features and functionalities. Worked on the "get log page" feature.

Implemented unit tests and integration tests for code validation and quality assurance using testing frameworks such as Pytest.

Tested firmware features using the Pytest framework. Managed test repositories and version control using GitHub, ensuring proper documentation and traceability of test cases and results.

Utilized RPI (Ubuntu system) testing techniques to evaluate SSDs under various conditions, including power on/off SSD and flash SSD adapter using RPI.

Earned the MEET2022 Best Posters Awards for exploring methods that creating congestion in Fiber Channel SAN and test mitigation strategies in a lab environment.
