IT Intern (2012 – 2016)

At the start of each workday, I would grab a checklist that listed all rooms and what had to be checked. Each room had to be checked no less than twice each day to ensure proper working room conditions and proper supplement of necessities. Made sure equipment in each classroom worked properly (computer mice, keyboards, microphones, and projectors). Maintained neatness of cables, ensuring proper walkability to avoid tripping and wire damage in labs and classrooms. Cleaned white boards with Expo spray, readily prepared for future use by students and professors. Resupplied rooms containing white boards with fresh, dry erase Expo markers. Helped set up projectors, easels and laptops for rooms that required them. Recalibrated projector screens and SMART boards to ensure proper image quality and touch controls, respectively. Ensured on campus computers and/or IT provided laptops had the latest software updates installed, if necessary. Kept track of inventory in an Excel spreadsheet and made sure to notify supervisor if inventory was low/which inventory was being used for the day. Helped with the setting up of speakers and microphones for events and ceremonies, when needed. When completing the tasks, I assisted people with minor technical issues with either personal or IT provided devices at the IT help desk. At the end of the day, I locked up rooms that were no longer in use and made sure they were properly supplied with batteries. Checked to see if the room system was properly turned off if it was no longer in use for the day.
