There are various national banks in Belgium in which one of the oldest banks, it has many mainframes-based applications running everyday based on the user requirements and on- demand by the citizens in Belgium. In Belgium there are multiple groups of nationalities who were settled from French, Netherlands, Germany countries for a long period of time. The issue is the language for most of the non-European users while making online ATM payments due to translation problems. As part of the team mainframe technicians identified this and came up with the translation bot during Bel Direct Net, Bel Direct Mobile, and BELwebsites

Responsibilities:

Monitoring the scheduled jobs.

Gather requirements via discussions/meetings with business users and IT Management.

Involved in batch / Online cycles monitoring and ABEND fixing which part of production support is and creating ABEND logs for future reference. Providing the permanent fix For the frequently getting abends.

Used IBM File manager to run DB2 Queries and to view / edit production files.

Test runs the code by preparing test run JCLs.

Involved in code review using checklists.

Make a documentation for new Abends for reference with reason and solution.
