I am responding to your position, and I’ll warn you, this is not the usual resume, I have worn to many hats!
I was a combat veteran serving in wartime activities, with the medals and scars to prove it; I was a police officer, an FBI trained forensic officer, a crime scene investigator for major crimes and traffic accidents, (I left after being shot 3 times on the job), later, a tort claim investigator for insurance companies; a skilled construction manager; owned my own company providing armed executive chauffeurs for high profile executive and family protection; a heavy equipment operator; and a life manager for recovering addicts. And.
I have a wide span of project management experience that ranges from entry-level to security project management.
My experience includes start-up organization of accounts, major decision making, planning, cost accounting, budgeting, policy implementation, problem solving, project scheduling, inspection and employee training.
I am a trainer for classroom, on-the-job and position-specific training. For security management I am weapons qualified and CCW licensed in both Iowa and Nebraska. I have been law enforcement academy trained and certified as a Police Officer.
I have:
Contract Security Management and Construction facilities management, military and law enforcement experience for high profile accounts with up to 200 employees. The ability to develop and grow customer relationships.
Experience in hiring, developing, motivating, and retaining quality staff. The ability to work independently in a team-oriented environment. The ability to manage multiple priorities, complex situations, a diverse team of employees and client requirements on an ongoing basis. With payroll, billing and scheduling experience.
Key Competencies: Staff management, fiscal and financial management, integrity, Problem solving, conflict management, Time management, customer focus, Motivating and the drive for results.
I have been contracted as a manager with private security agencies for over 16 years. I have been assured that my skills have enhanced the security of several corporate accounts. I have improved and assured myself of the technical expertise, loyalty and productivity of employees.
Prior to corporate contract security management, I directed, managed, supervised, trained, and scheduled maintenance and construction work crews in construction and maintenance for 15years.
I am proficient at coordinating complex activities in fast paced environments while handling multi-tasked priorities;
I work well with all levels of professionals, political agencies, contractors, law enforcement agencies and the general public. I have produced post orders and written procedures in compliance with regulatory obligations and have ensured their consistent application with my employees.
I am accomplished in Microsoft Office Suite for business communications and spreadsheet accountability.
Yes, I have worn many hats. My experience, education, and training in several varied career environments makes me a perfect candidate to take on any management environment opportunity you can situate me in. However, my age restricts me in many environments. I walk with a cane.
I am older, better trained, more experienced, and smarter than any other (younger) candidate.
I hope to speak with you about the opportunity you present.
