I am having over 39 years experience (Post PG) in various aspects of Hospital Administration including NABH matters, DNB matters, Ayushman Bharat scheme,Medical Insurance, Business Development, Panel related works and Clinical Research / Drug Trials etc.( as Member Secretary ), in various Govt.& Private Hospitals & Self Owned private Nursing Homes with success. I have a rich experience of working in many leading Healthcare organisations, seen their style of functioning as well as the visions of their top managements as to what makes them successful. Latest in the list being Corona (Covid 19) Pandemic preparations for Hospitals and various protocols associated with handling such cases, Oncology & Renal Transplant set ups etc.

Latest in the list being Corona (Covid 19) Pandemic preparations for Hospitals and various protocols associated with handling such cases, including Vaccination programmes. Successfully managed one Hotel as L1 Corona facility. Worked on for another Hospital & convert into L2/L3 facility. Later managed takeover of this facility & Opening of a Multi Specialty Polyclinic in Mathura. Latest being the start of a complete Oncology centre set-up in 2022 and a Renal Transplant Centre started in 2023. Recently managed a successful reassessment of NABH & DNB Accreditation for Urology and Family Medicine. Now planning construction of a large sized hospital in Delhi NCR.

Vivekananda Hospital, Lucknow, UP (A unit of Ramakrishna Mission Sevashram) as Medical Superintendent
Here I accepted an extremely challenging assignment of getting the NABH Accreditation of this over 45 years old hospital which had been pending for over seven years and everyone around doubted this as an impossible task, which I ultimately achieved in January 2018 . Here, in addition to managing about 500 inpatients, 1100 employees, I also managed about 85 DNB students of 12 specialties & Super specialties besides managing the School and College of nursing and Para medic students as well. We also managed various Village Health Programmes in remote areas . Special emphasis was laid on improving the level & quality of Medicare services being provided here by changing the mind-sets of staff and their work-culture.

As Medical Superintendent in Narinder Mohan Hospital, Ghaziabad, UP
I have been one of the most successful Medical Superintendents in the history of this hospital. May this be the increased inflow of inpatients or effecting a well-managed marketing & recovery initiatives or managing the hospital activities of a much larger scale within the given resources. These have been really challenging jobs, but in a short duration of few months only I brought this hospital to a really profit making institution. My key areas were namely complete hospital management, increasing business, managing marketing / recovery as well as Quality, NABH, NABL activities etc. Here I managed over 300 Patient Beds and 700 employees effectively.
Aug 2015 to June 2016
AS MEDICAL SUPERINTENDENT in Metro Hospitals, New Delhi
(A famous chain of Hospitals under the aegis of Metro Hospitals).
It included complete hospital management including Business development etc. Here I did the most coveted job of uplifting the not so profitable units into better revenue generating entities. Here I managed two hospitals namely RLKC Metro & Metro heart hospital.

As Medical Superintendent of MGS Hospital, Punjabi Bagh, New Delhi
Here I was Instrumental in bringing about several Radical changes in Policies & Procedures to increase the revenues & profitability as well as cut down on Pilferages . Also I accomplished the near impossible task of getting the coveted NABH Accreditation for this Hospital which was pending for several years.

As Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at my own Dr. Sharma’s Clinic in Gurgaon.
1993 – June 2008 (15Years)
As Medical Director/Orth. Surgeon:
Managed my own (2 nos.) Nursing Homes – called SHARMA NURSING HOME in Delhi from inception to complete & perfect running status. I was instrumental in managing various approvals from Govt. Authorities including The Income Tax Dept. Of Govt. of India, DHS of Delhi Govt. for Nursing Home Registration. Pre-natal Sex Determination &Ultrasound, MTP Centre approvals etc. from Delhi Govt.
With these approvals I managed various Semi Govt. Cos.’ Panels and managed themvery efficiently.
Next step was (since 2004) to procure various (Mediclaim) Insurance Cos. ‘empanelment’s through their subsidiaries called Third Party Administrators and developed a healthy relation with them to further the cause of Patients’ Welfare effectively. I have developed intense experience in various procedures and formalities adopted by these cos. - the TPAs.

As CMO/Orth. Surgeon
During this period I worked at two premium Hospitals of Delhi – The SAFDARJANG HOSPITAL and The DEEN DAYAL UPADHYAY HOSPITAL as CMO/Orthopaedic Surgeon.
At Safdarjang Hospital, New Delhi, I managed the total Administration of Casualty as well as Fracture Clinic, besides various duties of an Orthopaedic Surgeon. The experience at such a big Hospital was enriching beyond belief.
At Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, New Delhi,I performed the same duties more independently and with more responsibilities. In addition I was made instrumental in purchasing various instruments / implements / consumables etc. for the department, a job I performed very honestly and with complete integrity.
1979-1980
In addition I have worked as a District Epidemiologist in Orissa for a WHO Sponsored project – pfcp – Malaria, with the NMEP Deptt. Of Govt. of India for a short period very effectively.
