While working with these companies, I continued as the lead in the process of planning, design and construction management for many projects. Extensive on-site experience along with the walk down and design of piping systems, pipe supports, equipment layouts along with structural platforms and other accesses. Industries that I have experience in would be: Petrochemical, chemical, gases, pharmaceutical, power plant, (fossil & nuclear) pigments, fibers, bio-tech, marine and the foods industry. Software used would be: PDMS, Cyclone, PDS, PDWB, Cadworx, Autocad, Microstation & SAP.
Specific Construction Management Responsibilities
Participate in all FEL activities. Assist w/the preparation of the Basis Of Design. Review business drivers, estimate, schedule and scope. Provide constructability input. Attend kick off meeting. Assist in the development of a high spot estimate. Communicate critical milestone dates to scheduler. Assist in strategies in regards to procurement, design deliverables and phasing. Assist and complete the detailed construction scope of work. Identify lump sum bid vs. T&M. Assist in the development of the PHA. Attend reviews of all safety related meetings. Develop and facilitate the construction hazards review. Attend all gate keeping and FEL meetings. Responsible for preparing a detailed construction scope by discipline. Establish milestones. Assemble bid package info. Issue invitation to bid. Manage the RFI process. Monitor bids for clarification and suggest bid winner to buyer. Enter all requisitions into SAP and request approvals. Arrange construction kick off meetings. Include safety resource. Publish meeting comments. Arrange mandatory weekly construction progress meetings to review safety expectations, progress, schedules and RFI’s. Manage schedules from all contractors. Publish final baseline schedule. Monitor/sign timesheets of contractors. Schedule/monitor pre-work day safety meetings with contractor and area. Ensure as built dwgs. Are updated. Develop punch lists as project moves forward. Ensure contractor submits final billing and approve. Manage the ROL and close out SAP when project is complete.
