I led the deconstruction of the Flushing Hospital data center basement and setup of a new DC on the 6th floor.

Implement sustainable practices within the data center to reduce energy consumption and carbon footprint, aligning with eco-friendly initiatives and industry standards. This included reducing unwanted electrical equipment not needed for production. Proper floor tiles for air flow and proper positioning of racks for hot and cold aisles. E-waste company for proper disposing of old equipment for both Desktop services and Data Center. Monthly PM scheduling and proper documentation were done to alleviate the stress of audit should it happen.
Prepared and managed the data center budget, tracked expenses, and made cost-effective recommendations. Doing this saved the hospital over $150,000
Jamaica Hospital Data Center Engineer/Administrator Dec 2002–Mar 2008
I quickly learned Server and switch Installations (cable runs CAT, Fiber, L4, L6, racking, de-racking, Safe Disposal for E-waste) Data Center Infrastructure was taught to me by the at-the-time Director.
Switch Management (learned proper cable management & redundancy to electrical panels) and was recognized by Network services manager as most diligent in the data center and the go-to- guy.
With my director blessing I created my own FTP server using SFTP
& SSL over SSH file transfer setup using batch, Visual basic and JavaScript programs and for automation (FileZilla & Core) SFTP program to prevent cyber threats on windows server 2012.
