Employee Relations Manager

Primary contact for investigating and resolving Human Resource inquiries directed from various business clients, union representatives and Human Resource partners (e.g. Sr. HR Specialists, Sr. Human Resource Generalist’s, Legal and Labor Relations). I was responsible for providing advice and counsel, interpretation, direction, clarification and guidance on a variety of HR topics (e.g. attendance, code of conduct violations, practices, programs, and labor agreement interpretations). Input tickets into the PC-SIM's database log, making use of the CIT (Critical Incident Tracking) database to review for similar issues and prior infractions. I gathered basic information regarding a multitude of issues and provided appropriate advice and counsel for violations. I educated the client on how to find answers for HR issues. I analyzed data to determine the appropriate course of disciplinary action. I reviewed with the Senior Specialist for the next appropriate step the client should take for holding additional interviews or discussions. I formulated a recommendation for resolution and provided the logic behind the recommendation. I followed up with the client to ensure the recommendation was followed and to obtain copies of documentation created by the department.
