One of the highlights of my career was facilitating the development of a Licensed and Accredited Free- Standing Surgical Center in Western North Carolina. Responsibilities not only included physical facility development, administrative roles and regulatory CON, but integrating a specialty specific EHR for gastroenterology. Implementing software for endoscopy procedures coupled with office records, while incorporating the billing components to capture the true workload spent was a large part of transitioning from a GI office to a Surgical Center.

Currently employed as a full-time Advanced Practice Provider with Western Carolina Digestive Consultants, P.A. located in Western North Carolina.

I provide care in both locations of our practice, Franklin and Sylva. I also provide consultations to the two local hospitals, Angel Medical Center and Harris Regional Hospital. My patient population is from 16 years of age and up. Disease management is provided for general gastroenterology and hepatology disease management. Diagnosis and Treatment ranges from Anxiety, GERD, EOE, Celiac, IBS, Hiatal Hernia, Achalasia, Gastric and Peptic Ulcers, IBD, Crohn’s, Ulcerative Colitis, Biliary Dyskinesia, Alcohol Abuse, Hepatitis, PBC, HBV, HCV, Autoimmune Hepatitis, NASH, Cirrhosis, Colo-Rectal Polyps and Cancer.
