COMMENT: I have been retired from collegiate ministry and sports chaplaincy since May of 2018 and have been doing family and marriage counseling part-time since January, 2019. Our only daughter, son-in-law, and three grandchildren live in Jamestown, N.C. and we would like to live closer. My gifts/talents are in working with people: listening, encouraging, interacting, and so forth. I am an extrovert but most enjoy being the catalyst for others talking about their own lives, experiences, dreams.

Collegiate ministry and mission work with college students at Indiana State University, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, St. Mary of the Woods College, and Ivy Tech in Terre Haute, Indiana. Overlapping in this time was 18 years in ministry with athletes, particularly the ISU football team.
AUGUST 2012 – MAY 2013, ESL INSTRUCTOR AT INTERLINK LANGUAGE CENTER, INDIANA STATE UNIVERSITY Taught English as a Second Language to International Students preparing to pass their TOEFL exam.

ACTIVITIES
I have a passion for the outdoors, especially rivers, lakes, and oceans. I cherish good literature and reading. My wife, Rose, and I have traveled to several areas of the U.S. as we have involved college students in mission/ministry activities (inner city, disaster relief, construction, outreach). Together with groups of students we have made repeat trips to Uruguay, S.A. I have additionally accompanied students to Honduras, Belarus (White Russia), and India and have made three trips to teach in Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia. I am a fair carpenter, an adequate mechanic, and below-average cook. I can and have taught English as a Second Language (ESL) for three terms with InterLink, the English Language School formerly at Indiana State University.
