Material Handling Equipment – Operator / Trainer / Maintenance October 2023 - Current Neovia Logistics Samsung Fullerton, CA
§ Certified Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Operator for Clamp Lifts, Forklifts both propane and electrical which was main assignment. Given the load or project, I was internally trained and authorized to operate for specific tasks Sit-Down, Stand-up, Reach, Cherry Picker / Boom, Electric Pallet Jack, Aerial, and Scissor lifts.
§ Main assignment was with Inbound Department offloading 12-15 full trailers a shift. We would offload Live Loads, Mixed Loads, South Bay (SB) Frights, Raw Material daily. Other duties included RF Scanning, Labeling, Shrink Wrapping, and put away in appropriate locations by piece count
(approximately 40 pieces an hour) and cycle count.
§ Train new operators on lifts, conduct hands on training with equipment and product handling per client standard operating procedures. Instruct in operators in the use of our daily (color coded) Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Checklist, a mandatory requirement for the use of any type of MHE’s.
§ Operate the floor sweeping machine to ensure our 2-building warehouse layout satisfies our success factor.
§ Worked close with our Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to implement safety mitigations to ensure safe practices and culture. Installed and distributed safety signs such stop signs, speed limit signs, caution signs, Hazmat Diamond signs for our propane tanks storage cages, etc. Shipping & Receiving Clerk / MHE Operator January 2019 – September 2023 Ashley’s Furniture Redlands, CA
