Manuel Andrés Ruiz
• Born in Argentina, where he began
training from the age of 8 in musical
theater, vocal, acting and dance in the
most prominent studios in his country.
In Argentina he was considered a very
talented child and in a short time he
was part of numerous and successful
productions such as "Moulin Rouge"
"Chicago", "Hairspray" and "Vivitos y
Coleando" created by Hugo Midon.
• In 2009, Manuel has been discovered by the unforgettable teacher Olga Ferri. Ferri awarded him a 100% merit scholarship in Dance. After that, Manuel decided to move to Buenos Aires and study under Her Coaching eyes. A year later, Manuel has been invited to continue his studies at the Instituto Superior de Arte del Teatro Colón.
During this time, he was invited as a guest dancer to be part of the opening night of the "Opera de Paris", Swan Lake at the Teatro Colon as an ISA student, Paquita and The Nutcracker at Festivals in the City of Buenos Aires and received an invitation to be part of a Tango production at Angel Prince Company. He was part of the Violetta Tour produced by Disney in his first season as a dancer in the city of Buenos Aires
• In 2010, he participated in a very famous reality show, "Talento Argentino" the Argentinian Version of American got Talent, where he became a finalist along with a group of talented dancers.
Manuel never forgot his other inner callings and challenged himself as an Actor performing "Les Miserables" and "Hair" at Paseo La Plaza in the city of Buenos Aires in 2011 and 2012.
• He has been part of numerous International Festivals and one of the most significant roles at that time was choreographed by Luis Marinoni where he performed in front of 10,000 people at the "Fiesta del Litoral".
• In 2014 he was awarded a 100% scholarship by Joffrey Ballet School Chicago. After 6 months he transferred his scholarship to New York. With Joffrey he has been part of Productions at the Skirball Theatre Center for Performing Arts dancing The Nutcracker and Sleeping Beauty. In the meantime, he was invited to perform as a guest, choreographed at Alvin Ailey and Ballet Hispanico and has been selected by Earl Mosley for a production at the Brooklyn Museum of Art reopening Gala.
• As a producer, he produced and directed of "Otra de Payasos" in 2015. "Te encontaré de nuevo" (I will find you again), a successful tribute to Hugo Midon and Carlos Gianni at the Parque del Conocimiento, Misiones Argentina. The Show had been watched for more than 20,000 people.
• In January 2016, he met the International renowed Dancer, Andrei Vassiliev with whom he begins the opening of what is today “Latinoamerica Baila”
• In 2016, he started working as a collaborator of the Vassiliev Classical Ballet Academy, where he develops his Program “Latinoamerica Baila” with Mr. Vassiliev in search of new talents. The program has become one of the most important on the continent. Both Dancer has been named “visitors of honor” in many of the cities they visited and international magazines from Argentina, Venezuela and Brazil promoted the program on their cover pages.
• In 2017, he launched his first international show “Falling Angel” with a very successful Opening Night and excellent reviews. The Show tells the life of the dancer Andrei Vassiliev and the journey to become a star, where he confirms that everyone on their journey needs an angel. He worked in this production with stars such as Erica Cornejo, Tatiana Berenova and Olga Pavlova.
During the first tour of “Latinoamerica Baila” in Argentina, he has been named by the Government of the Provinces of San Luis and Corrientes “Visitors of Honor” along with Andrei Vassiliev.
He has been named “Distinguished Visitor” in the Province of Mendoza, Argentina.
• In 2018, Latinoamérica Baila, a program conceived and created by Manuel Ruiz, became one of the most successful scholarship programs of the last decades.
• After 3 years as Co-Artistic Director of Vassiliev Academy of Classical Ballet and his work accompanying dancers from all over the world, he decided to continue his path as a choreographer traveling through Latin America and Europe with his own productions.
“Experience” one of his most successful choreographies travels the world and it’s been danced in Paraguay, Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia, Mexico, Canada and the USA.
His choreographies can be seen in different settings. Manuel has choreographed participants of the YAGP, Valentina Koslova, Competition in St. Petersburg, CIALD. He has taken sections of Falling Angel to Vancouver, Hong Kong, Argentina and Brazil.
• In 2019, He released his first musical production “This is the Moment”, his first album as a singer, produced by Rodrigo Aranjuelo. The album can be heard on all digital platforms around the world.
• In 2023, After Covid 19, He reopened the Latinomerica Dance Program.
“Experience” has been assembled and added as a choreography to the Repertoire of the Ballet of Monterrey, Mexico and Guayaquil, Ecuador. Due to the success of Latinoamérica Baila he has decided to open 2 international programs for pre-professional dancers (Broadway Here I Come in NYC and Bailatinos in Miami City) and 1 professional conservatory in the United States. Latinoamerica Baila has so far, the participation of numerous international stars such as Paloma Herrera, Ana Sophia Scheller, Javier Rojas, Jovani Furlan, Stanislav Olashnik, Andrei Vassiliev, Stephane Phavorin and Carlos Gonzalez.
• In 2024-2025 He worked at “Leep Academy Bilingual Academy” as Dance and Theater Teacher where he developed his talent as choreographer for students from k to 5. Manuel has created 25 choreographies for 500 students for their Spring Show Spectacle. The show is based on “Matilda” and “Annie” from Broadway.
