I worked on the SOAR grant. (how can I help Grant) The grant provides funding for Medically Assisted Treatment. (MAT) Working with men and women who have diagnoses such as SUD, PTSD, ADHD, and TBI. I was part of a clinical team that requires that I attend medication management, Monthly DMHAS, supervision, weekly staff meetings, monthly CCAR and RISK meetings. I facilitate a Women’s Groups, Peer Support, community outreach, Anger management and offer psycho-educational support to persons served/clients. I also have an active caseload of twelve which I have weekly sessions with. Durning these sessions the person served /clients and I lay out weekly recovery plans. Also, I have inactive monthly check in’s to discuss how can I help them in their recovery. Large extensive documentation ranging from community outreach, Weekly, group and collateral interactions documentation. Participate in training on an annual basis, as assigned.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Recognized in 2010 by the YWCA for my outstanding work with woman of abuse and addiction. Also, again in 2015 by WFSB for outstanding work with women in recovery from drugs and with those who had been sexually exploited and trafficked.
Developed a three-part series for WFSB to raise awareness of Addiction and its connection to exploitation and sex trafficking.
Highlighted by the New Haven Register, Hartford Current and the New Britain Harold.
In 2013 became co-founder of The Underground; a non-profit organization focused on abolishing sex trafficking, sexual exploitation and forced labor of men, women, and children.
In 2018 was invited to the senatorial dinner where I’d lobbed for funds for the opioids Crisis and the SESTA act.
