Experience: 15years

Preheated work pieces preparatory to welding and bending, using torch. Fused parts together, sealed tension points and added metal to build up parts. Guided and directed flame and electrodes on and across work piece to straighten, bend, melt and build up metal. Selected, positioned and secured torch, cutting tips and welding rod, according to type, thickness, area and desired temperature of metal.

Ignited torch and regulated flow of gas and air to obtain desired temperature, size and color of flame. Filled cavities and corrected malformation in lead parts and hammered out bulges and bends in metal work pieces. Examined work piece for defects and measured work piece with straightedge and template to ensure conformance with specifications.

Climbed ladders and worked on scaffolds to disassemble structures. Signaled crane operator to move large work pieces. Connected hoses from torch to tanks of oxygen and fuel gas and turned valves to release mixture. Welded and tack welded metal parts together, using spot welding gun and hand, electric and gas welding equipment. Positioned and secured work piece, using hoist, crane, wire and banding machine and hand tools. Dismantled metal assemblies and cut scrap metal, using thermal-cutting equipment such as flame-cutting torch and plasma-arc equipment.
