Propose and develop new solutions to improve the safety and reliability of the three sites.

Main Engineering Consultant to an Argentinean client in a US$3M+ turnkey project for a clay brick facility.

Developed strategies, design turnkey solutions and implement them to save energy in the Caribbean Islands of Aruba and Curacao where electricity is very expensive.

Industries ABA, S.A. – Coro, Venezuela 1983 – 1986

Chief Maintenance, Production Engineer and Operations Manager

Initially Supervised a team of 6 employees responsible for the maintenance and upgrades of all the equipment in the ABA clay brick factory in Coro, Venezuela. In the last 2 years, responsible for all company operations and it’s over 100 employees.

Designed and built a new production line that significantly increased the factory capacity from +/-30000 bricks per day to +/- 44000 per day.

Reduced the average down time from 19.8% to 5.7% of the work week, a 71% reduction, providing a significant improvement in factory productivity.

Education & Credentials

Graduated first in class in Técnico Superior Universitario en Construcción Civil at UE Antonio José de Sucre . Earned three-year degree, which is between an Associate and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering in the USA.

Attended on average two conventions per year in areas related to my work until 2020, primarily energy (Association of Energy Engineers, AEE) and refrigeration (American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers, ASHRAE), but also automation, illumination, water treatment, and pumps as part of my personal philosophy of staying up to date with materials and techniques related to my work.

US Environmental Protection Agency Universal Certification, plus 21 other safety training certificates (average score 97% overall).

Supported brands ASEA and BBC (Now ABB), GE, Westinghouse (now Cutler Hammer), Telemecanique and Merlin Gerin (now part of Schneider Group), Siemens, Allen Bradley, Danfoss and others. I also have experience with other brands in the areas of illumination, instrumentation, automation, valves, and pumps.
