Operated all aspects of owning one’s own business such as interviewing, hiring, training and office administration, etc. Also provided consulting and training services to various companies such as Omnicell Corporation, Delphi Automotive, Verizon, Intel, Kinetics, Level One Communications, etc. in support of business re-engineering and process improvement. This included conducting gap assessments (to determine weaknesses in processes), curriculum development and deployment, metric system development and coordination and leadership of cross-functional teams.

• Highlights of achievements:

• Managed a workforce of up to 10 subcontractors who supported bi-lingual training and consulting in countries such as Costa Rico, Japan, Mexico and Taiwan as well as the United States.

• Maintained a 100% success rate for first-time registration to appropriate country-accepted Standards while consulting with companies on behalf of Neville-Clarke (San Jose, CA) and Fields Quality Consulting, Inc. (my own business). Successful project completion was achieved to the enjoyment of management.

• Hired supporting consultants and trained them in the preferred processes/approaches.

• Invited and presented as keynote speaker on behalf of the American Society of Training and Development’s Technical Convention in St. Louis, MO. 2 of 3

• Staff Training: Directed the restructure of the company “Central Repository” (document control) system and the creation/revision of all documentation pertaining to all activities performed within the company. Used documentation to train employees to obtain functional consistency. Clarified roles and responsibilities for each manager and provided quantitative goals and objectives for each manager to report improvement. Directly responsible for manufacturing operations and corporate training requirements and overall company improvement activities.
