CLINICAL EXPERIENCE

I was selected for the M.Ch Degree Course in Plastic Surgery through the all India Competitive Entrance examination. I joined the department of Plastic Surgery at the Government Medical College and Hospital a 1400 bedded tertiary care Hospital in Nagpur India. As a junior resident in Plastic Surgery I assisted all major and minor surgeries in Reconstructive plastic surgery, Maxillofacial surgery, Aesthetic Surgery, Microvascular surgery and cleft lip and palate surgeries. As senior resident I operated all minor and major surgeries under supervision in Reconstructive, Hand, Maxillofacial and microvascular surgeries. As a Post M.Ch resident I had the benefit of performing Aesthetic surgeries under supervision.

I was totally responsible for the management of emergency cases referred to the Plastic surgery department in the 2

and 3

rd

year of my residency. The residency in Plastic

surgery is a teaching post and I used to take regular clinics for my juniors. I passed my Plastic Surgery university examination in 1

attempt.

I also had the opportunity to work in one of the busiest Private Hospital in Mumbai India with consultants Dr.S.R.Tambwekar and Dr.M.R.Thatte both eminent Plastic surgeons under whose guidance I learnt the finer aspects of Plastic surgery Later I was selected for the coveted post of a Lecturer in the department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Prestigious Grant Medical College and Sir J.J. Group of Hospitals Mumbai, India. The department of Plastic surgery at the Grant Medical college is one of the most respected departments with 70 beds in the Indian Plastic surgery scenario. Here I gained tremendous experience in all Aspects of Plastic surgery like Reconstructive, Micro-vascular, Maxillofacial burns and Aesthetic surgery. In the department both my seniors being Honorary Professors I looked after the day to day functioning of the department including clinical care of the patients, planning surgeries, Operating and administration. Being a Medical college I was also responsible for teaching the junior residents.

Before joining plastic surgery I had completed 4 years of residency in General Surgery. INTERNATIONAL FELLOWSHIPS

I was awarded fellowship in plastic Surgery through ISAPS in Brazil for 3 months under the able guidance of Prof. Dr. Cesar Arrunategui. Here I learnt and gained wide experience in the field of Aesthetic Surgery.

I was awarded another fellowship in Plastic Surgery through ISAPS at The Centro Medico Teknon, Spain, Barcelona for a period of 6 months under the guidance of Prof. Dr.Javier De Benito worlds most leading Plastic Surgeon. Here under his able guidance I studied the art of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery in-depth. I have visited various Plastic and Cosmetic surgery clinics in the world in order to acquire the latest trends in the field of cosmetic surgery. Private Practice in Mumbai:

After my fellowships in Aesthetic Plastic surgery I set up my private practice in the Metropolitan city of Mumbai, the financial and glamour capital of India. Here I practiced exclusively Aesthetic Surgery, with some of my patients being from the glamour and Film industry.

MUSCAT PRACTICE:

At the Muscat Medical Centre in Oman as a Specialist Plastic Surgeon from march 2005 till Oct 2008. Here my practice included Reconstructive, Maxillofacial, Aesthetic Plastic Surgery with occasional general and plastic surgery trauma cases. I am the only person in the country of Oman performing follicular Hair transplants. I perform on a regular basis Hand Surgery, Cleft surgery, Reconstructive surgery, Surgical and mini-surgical face lifts, Breast - reductions, augmentations, Liposuction and Abdominoplasties etc. Before joining Muscat Medical Centre I was working as a Specialist plastic surgeon at the Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals in Oman.

I have been trained in Micro vascular surgery.

I also perform Medical Aesthetic procedures like Injection Botox. and fillers, Non Surgical Face lifts, Mesotherapy etc

In Oman I have conducted CME programmes in Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery. I joined Al Harub Medical Centre Muscat Oman as a Specialist Plastic and Cosmetic SurgeonSurgeon from Dec 2008 and worked till Dec 2009 Bahrain Specialist Hospital : CURRENT PRACTICE: At present I am working at the Bahrain Specialist Hospital in Bahrain the most prestigious Hospital in Bahrain since Jan 2010 as a Plastic Surgeon. Here my practice is Plastic Reconstruction and Aesthetic Surgery with occasional plastic surgery trauma cases. I am the only person in the country of performing Micro-follicular Hair transplants. I perform on a regular basis Surgical and minisurgical face lifts, Breast - reductions, augmentations, Liposuction and Abdominoplasties etc.

I have been trained in Micro vascular surgery and carry routine micro vascular surgeries for hand trauma and reconstructive surgery.

I also perform Medical Aesthetic procedures like Injection Botox. and fillers, Non Surgical Face lifts, Mesotherapy etc
