WHIPSAW

Dear Sir or Madam:

I have been formally retired for eight years. I find myself still spending many hours a day at my computer and I think that this time could be put to productive use, and add enough to my retirement income for me to better enjoy the free time.

I spent over five years as the senior technical engineer and manager of the date entry group at the Medical Society of the State of New York in Lake Success. I became very familiar with data entry, as my chief duty was to keep the six person data entry staff happily entering data into the database of the Medical Society. I was DBA for their SQL Server database. I had updated

In the course of managing my software creations I executed most administrative functions that you are looking for. I had to write status reports, make presentations to management on exactly what I was doing and where I was on the time line. In the course of my work for Symbol Technologies and PC pioneer Phoenix Technologies i took calls from the engineers who used our product and gave them critical support to get past many compatibility issues that arose in that era.

I have used Word and Excel going back decades This is a Word document. I integrated Excel into several data entry programs that I wrote. With PowerPoint not so experienced.

My legal career was rather short, but I had the opportunity to write one major appellate brief in New Jersey, to the Appellate Division of the New Jersen Superior Court. It set a precedent in New Jersey, as it gave to illegitimate children the same right to inherit from their natural father as the natural children had, in cases where the father died without a will. The court's opinion is available on the Internet if you search on “In Re Maislin's Estate.” I'm the sole person listed as being “on the brief” for the appellant, as I did all the research and writing myself.

I’m still classified as an active member of the New York State Bar, and I have a fine internet connection over a secure Wi Fi network. Data entry is said to be tedious, but so is writing and debugging software, if you do it correctly. I love to listen to music while I work, and at this age I like my music from a wide variety of sources.

In life I have only known how to work hard and produce results. Clearly, I’m overqualified in many ways, but I’m highly motivated and can get the job done correctly for you at a bargain price. I’m not looking for more money than you are offering and I have a good Medicare Advantage health insurance policy.

Sincerely,

William A Keating
