RESPONSIBILITIES
I have extensive thirty plus year’s experience in the construction inspection industry of Commercial, Industrial, Educational, Transportation, Hydroelectrical, and Public Works. I have been totally responsible for conducting inspections and training of concrete, shotcrete, proprietary anchors, reinforcing steel, masonry both brick and concrete masonry units running and stack bond, prestressing for both unbonded and bonded post tensioning, high strength bolting both snug tight and pre-tensioned positions, structural steel and welding both fabrication facilities and project site erection, wood framing, glazing with performing leak testing of new placed glazing curtain walls, subgrade compaction, proof rolling for structural, transportation and federal aviation, and also asphalt paving. I also have experience in the testing of concrete compressive and tensile testing, soil proctors, sieves, L.A. Abrasions, and also Asphalt Marshall Testing. I have also been qualified for the qualification of welders, nondestructive testing of welds, reviewing, writing both Welding Procedure Specifications and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR). Marketing and Estimator of Bidding new projects, and Construction Management. I have and been on my own role taken the responsibly of when training new technicians and or inspectors to always when doing their daily field reports to include drawing numbers of plan views, details, sections, elevations and if there are any request for information, submittals or transmittals to their daily field report.

EXPERIENCE INCLUDES PERFORMING SPECIAL INSPECTIONS FOR WASHINGTON, OREGON AND NEVADA.
Port of Seatte, De Monies, Washington, Construction.
This project at The Villa Enzian Condominiums was for upgrading windows, skyliwwghts, sliding doors and entry doors to Sound Proof Control which consisted of weekly meetings programming with homeowners and monitoring and inspecting the removal of existing windows, skylights, sliding doors and entry doors with checking existing framing for water stains and dry rot.
Costco Building Five, Issaquah, Washington, Lead Inspector and Scheduler. This project has consisted of a 10 story reinforced concrete, unbonded post tension and structural masonry 10 story parking garage structure with some structural steel high strength bolting and welding for canopies, stairs, elevators, roof trellis and skybridges. Being a fast pace schedule I have been the resident lead inspector for all special inspection of the project with also scheduling for next days activities, assistant in helping contractor and sub contractors writing of request for information, submittals, transmittals and verbal communication with structural engineers, and Jurisdiction officials when the need has become necessary. I also have taken the role within my self to properly train new technicians and inspectors in each category that I am qualified in doing and have the experience in.
Sound Transit North Link Projects, Seattle, Washington, Sound Transit East Link Projects, Bellevue, Washington. Lead Inspector for Northgate Project. My role was reviewing mill certifications, welding procedures, Procedure Qualification Records, Mix Designs, and performing site inspections for welding of reinforcing steel, wide flange beams, girders, reinforcing steel, and post-tension cable tendons both unbonded and bonded, proprietary anchors with including pull testing, shotcrete, masonry, soil tie backs, and soil compaction and towards end of project performed inspections of fire resident materials. I also supervise are ACI Technicians in the sampling, testing and casting compressive strength specimens.
Ipex I-25, Pueblo, Colorado.) For this project I was sent to Pueblo, Colorado to assist the Kleinfelder staff there in providing continuous inspection and Construction Management of the 100 + year old Steel Truss Bridge that goes over the Arkansas River for its upgrade. Upgrade was the removal of the original rivets with the installation of new A-325 bolted connections. Removal of the stringers and replacing with new wide flange beams and for the trusses the drilling of new bolt holes and installing the new steel plates over the existing trusses and installing Direct Tension A-325 bolted connections. My role was inspecting the removal of rivets, and stringers, and monitoring the installation of the A-325 bolted connections, and truss plates. I also checked Mill Certifications for the new steel members and A-325 bolted connections along with performing Skidmore Bolt Tension testing for both the A-325 Hex Head connections with DTI Washers and the Direct Tension A-325 connections. Also besides doing the inspection on the +100 Year Bridge I was assigned in Construction Management for the I-25 portion of the project being performed by Flatiron Construction.
Costco H.Q. Parking Garage Extension, Issaquah, Washington, Lead Inspector. This project consisted of the addition of parking structure for 3 levels. Being the resident full time inspector the project was post-tension light weight concrete floor levels, and regular weight concrete for the columns and shear walls. Inspections was reinforcing steel, concrete placements, structural masonry and structural steel and welding on-site. Addition to site inspections Fabrication Facility reviews and inspections was performed for both periodic and continuous welding inspections.
Boeing (Everett Facility Development, Assistant Lead Inspector. Projects consisting of the New KC Tanker Manufacturing Building, The 777-X 40-57 Building both structural steel structures. Fabrication facility for schedule 40 pipe welding inspections. Also Modular complex structure for welding, concrete and wood foundation and framing inspections.
SODO Partnes Seattle Toyota/Honda Dealership, Estimator, Project Management and Resident Lead Inspector. Project consisted of 1 Six Story Post-Tension structure, Auger-Cast Piles, Structural Masonry, Precast Wall Panels, Fire Caulking, Crack Monitoring of Concrete Post-Tension Beams, and Structural Steel both Fabrication and Field Erection. During all concrete activities with a tight schedule I was assigned as full time Construction Management for Budget Control, Adding in any cost that were necessary and were not in the Bid Schedule, Owners and City of Seattle Meeting and performing all inspection activities per SBC and ICC code standards.
SR 520 Pontoon/HOV Project.) Welder Qualifications, Nondestructive testing, writing WPS and PQR along with inspecting welds.
Brightwater Treatment Plant, Wilsonville, Washington.) Construction Management for Kiewit and Hoffman Construction in Monitor, witness and inspect fit-up’s and welding for structural steel members and pipe in-compliance with King County Public Works Specifications, AWS D1.1 and API 1104.
Seattle BMW Service and Sales Facilities, Seattle, Washington Project Management and Resident Lead Inspector. This project consisted of two facilities one being the service and parking structure and the other being the sales facility. Service/Parking Garage Facility consisted of a 4 story post-tension structure and Sales Facility consisted of a Modern Architectural Structure Steel Structure with Curtain Walls. Duties consisted of budget maintaining, pre-construction meetings, supervising both inspectors and technicians along with performing as lead inspector in inspections of reinforcing and pre-stressed concrete, building foundations, columns, shear walls, proprietary anchors, structural steel erection welding and bolting.
North Las Vegas Medical Facility, Las Vegas, Nevada Project Management and Lead Inspector. Project consisted of a 4-story structural steel frame medical facility. Duties consisted of cost estimate, budget maintaining, pre-construction meetings with performing special inspections in cast-in-place concrete, high strength bolting, full-time erection and continuous fit-up and welding inspections along with scheduling for nondestructive examinations of full-penetration welds.
South Waterfront Project, Portland, Oregon 2004 to 2006 Estimator, Project Management and Lead Inspector. This project at time a 10 year on going consisting of major high rise, underground parking structures and a Tram. During my time at the South Waterfront, I was the Lead Project Manager and Lead inspector for the OHSU 17 Story Structural Steel Hospital, with 3 story underground parking structure, Twin Condo High Rise post-tension towers, 1 being 21 and the other being 24 stories with including 2 story underground cast-in-place parking structures for both towers, and finally the construction of a Top/Down 32 Story above ground post-tension condo with upper stories structural steel and the 3 stories underground and parking structure being both cast-in-place and post-tension deck slabs with drilled shaft columns, shear walls and structural steel sheet walls. My duties included cost estimate and planning for each structure, meeting high demand schedules, pre-construction meetings, request for information to changes, supervising and inspecting all aspects which included cast-in-place concrete, reinforcing steel, shotcrete, structural masonry, post-tension and stressing tendons, epoxy and expansion anchors, structural steel and welding both fabrication and erection welding, high strength bolting, spray-applied fireproofing, curtain wall and glazing for each building structure.
Brewery Blocks Project, Portland, Oregon 2001 to 2004, Estimator, Budget Controller, Scheduler, and Lead Inspector. The project consisted of a 5 City Block area of new construction for a 4 story underground parking post-tension structure, 1 – 17 story structural steel office building, 3 – post-tension condo’s ranging from 14 to 17 stories in height, 1 – 2 story shopping store, and the seismic upgrade of the 1902 Brewery. My duties consisted of cost estimate, and pre-bidding for each structure, budget maintaining, pre-construction meetings, supervising both inspectors and technicians, along with performing as the Lead Inspector and Assistant Project Manager.
Hughes Flying Boat HK-1 Museum, McMinnville, Oregon.) Project consisted of the construction of a structural steel structure to hold the Spruce Goose for display to the public. Project included cast-in-place concrete for footings, stem walls, columns, shear walls, and pre-cast panels, structural steel for the front glazing curtain wall s and roof structure with spray-applied fireproofing and for the display of the gift shop it included structural masonry walls. My duties were to inspect all aspects for compliance to the City and Engineer of Record Approved Plans and Specifications along with writing a final acceptance letter for Certification of Occupancy.
Hillsboro Stadium, Hillsboro, Oregon, Estimator, Project Management and Lead Inspector. This project consisted of the construction of a cast-in-place foundation and columns, structural masonry for shear walls and non-bearing walls, and for the structural steel frame, it consisted of structural steel with fillet, flare bevel groove complete penetration weldments with both ultrasonic and die penetration examinations. Also included with both slip-critical and non-slip critical A325 and A490 bolted connections. My duties were pre-bidding, pre-construction, and all inspections.
Willamette Industries, Albany, Oregon, Lead Inspector. This project consisted of the construction of a New Boiler Recovery 8 Story Industrial Structural Steel Galvanized Structure and outer structural steel structures. Duties were overseeing and training field inspectors and technicians in cast-in-place concrete for the Mass Concrete Foundation with including a Mass Concrete pre-construction meeting for the owners and proper curing methods for Mass Concrete to prevent Thermal Cracking. During steel erection, I trained and overseen inspectors for continuous high strength bolting inspections of slip critical connections and performed fit-up and continuous welding inspections within the fit-up stage making sure all galvanize was removed in the weld zone prior to welding.
Western Washington University, Bellingham, Washington, Lead Inspector. Project consisted of the construction of the New Engineering Facility 6 Story post-tension and structural steel structure. My duties included full time resident inspector for the project performing all aspects of inspection for cast-in-place concrete, post-tension concrete, and structural steel for both welding and high-strength bolting.
