GKN Mills -- 1981 – 1999 -- Trainee Scaffolder/Contract Supervisor.

• During this period, I was involved in working on maintenance and shut down projects in and around the country on various power stations.

• I progressed to an advanced Scaffolder after six years, then in 1987 I took the role of Foreman Scaffolder. In 1989 I took the role of a Contract Supervisor which gave me Insite into controlling labour and contracts at site level. Palmers Scaffold -- 1999 – 2001 -- Supervisor.

• Whilst being at Palmers my role entailed the running of five new building sites. This involved the oversite of labour and transport, whilst also liaising with site management and working to strict Health and Safety guidelines.

(Cox Hire Scaffold)/Crest Scaffold co. -- (2001 – 2003)/2003 – 2004 -- Contracts Supervisor.

• I worked for Cox Hire for around 24 months as a general Scaffolder, then was offered the position of Contracts Supervisor by Crest Scaffold. This involved working out of the Northampton branch, controlling twenty men on various projects throughout the country.

Xpress Scaffold Systems -- 2004 – 2009 -- Subcontractors Working Foreman/Contracts Manager.

Whilst working here for 4 or so years I was tasked with various work such as blocks of new flats/apartments, universities, sublet work from companies such like Laing O Rourk etc, running the complexes with men under me.

• After working various shutdowns, work eventually went slim and i was asked to return to office as a Contracts Manager.

(Xpress Scaffold Systems)/Palmers Scaffold -- 2009 – 2013 -- Contracts Supervisor.

• Through 2009/10, I ran various sites and performed work for customers such as: Kier, Belfour Beatty etc. Until Xpress was taken over by Palmers Scaffold.

• After being taken over, I continued to work for Palmers as a Contracts Supervisor looking for bigger work for the firm and looking after sites such as Cemex, Rugby Cement & Coventry Waste. Not long after, the branch shutdown in the midlands. Various Companies -- 2013 – 2018 -- Various Positions.

• After the shutting of Palmers branch, I worked for Tubler Shore as a Site foreman for a short period until I was approached by Air Scaffolding to be a Contracts Manager, but again this was short lived.

• In 2014 I began work for M G Scaffolding running large scale projects involving hotels, shops, bridges etc. After completing some large projects, I was approached by Pro Access Scaffolding whom I worked for a few months then went onto C P H Scaffolding.

• Whilst at C P H, I was the Leading charge hand on nights working out of Jaguar. I also looked after various sites up to 2016 where I switched to Avon Scaffolding for a short period. In 2017, Godiva approached me to be a Contracts supervisor looking after men and materials.

• Whilst working for Godiva, a small company by the name of Redditch Scaffolding approached me to run a small company for them as a Contracts Manager. However, I did not see this taking off, so I returned to MS Scaffolding erecting various scaffolds up and down motorways.

Various Companies -- 2018 – Current -- Various Positions.

• After finishing some big projects on the motorways, FDL Civils gave me a job closer to home dismantling staircase access for the public till 2020. Shortly after, V G C approached me with the position of Geneal Forman subcontractor including looking after various people for the H S 2.

• In 2021 Grimcote Construction offered me the position of General Forman for two major sites in the West midlands, here I worked on putting road access in, looked after general grounds workers and subcontracted until my services were no longer required. • Towards the end of 2021 I started for Easy-Fix Scaffolding as a Contracts Manager, I was tasked with pricing various contracts, attending meetings, helping various positions etc.

• At the start of 2022 I was approached by Dansullivan Group asking if I would like to do safety work regarding motorways for Skansiga, this included erecting edge protection X working platforms, Stair access etc.

• In the 2023 I started back at H S 2 as an Advanced Scaffolder erecting bridge links, walkways, access points down to Scaff tagging. Shortly after I was asked to supervise for Bryns Brothers under the H S 2 for a short time, ensuring work was going to get complete on time and efficiently.

• Once work was complete, I then switched to a company by the name of Tunnel-Craft. Here I was erecting scaffolds for the likes of maintenance, welders, electricians etc.

• (Throughout 2022-2023 I was also on weekends stand-by for JOS Sullivans to ensure safety on the motorways for new bridges etc).

Short Summary ~

Over the years I have been part of many projects as a scaffolder, supervisor, and contracts manager. I would like to say I have a broad knowledge of all kinds of the scaffolding industry and the health & safety

aspects. I feel I am capable of many activities in this work, which would benefit the company I worked for. I am a responsible person who would give full commitment while at work to ensure the smooth running of any contract with the emphasis of completing on time and within budget and safety. I feel that my development over the last few years has indicated to me that I can work well in a managerial role, despite pressures of tight schedules, and wish to continue with this development given the right opportunity.
